Students are responsible for taking notes during class lectures. They must keep a notebook to contain these notes so as to study them for tests. Notebooks, writing utensils, and paper are to be brought to class each day.  Worksheets are given frequently in most classes.  There is no extra credit given except for AP U.S. History and War History.  Students are to be responsible for handing in work on time and inquiring as to missed work during absences and making up work missed within three days of absences unless other arrangements are made following extended absences from class.  Students are expected to do all readings assigned from textbooks.
One of the most important points to be learned from these classes is to accept responsibility for their own endeavors and to learn to take notes by listening carefully in class.
