Dear Parents and Students,

Members of the Senior Class of 2021 are scheduled to take the SAT on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Frankfort Community High School.  This will serve as the replacement for the Spring 2020 SAT date that was cancelled due to COVID-19.  All Seniors, including those that are participating in Full Remote Learning, should be in attendance on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, to take the SAT.  The Illinois State Board of Education requires each student to take the SAT prior to graduation, so it is important that all seniors attend.  On the test day, seniors should arrive at school by 8:00 am..  Seniors must wear masks and will be subject to symptom and temperature screening before entering the school.  Student testing groups will be limited to 10 for social distancing purposes.  All Freshmen-Junior students will be remote learning on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 and will not be in-person.  As we approach the week of the SAT we will release more information regarding the test day and any schedule changes.  If you have any questions, please contact the FCHS Office at 932-3126.

Thursday, September 24, 2020 – 6:30 p.m. (20-21 School Year Update #31)

Dear Families of Frankfort CUSD #168:

We have some updates to pass along this evening.  They include:

§  At FCHS, there was a student who reported a positive test for COVID 19 today who was last in attendance Monday and Tuesday of this week.  Again, we worked with the students, their teachers, and Bi-County Health so that all close contacts have been identified and notified.

§  To our knowledge, anyone else who stayed home or was sent home today from our schools were close contacts of people with symptoms/positive test results.

§  Please remember that if your student was directed to and has undergone a COVID test, they should not attend school in-person until they have the results and you provide a copy of them to the school.

Then, we remind you that we are all-remote tomorrow, Friday, September 25, and we have already distributed meals.  In-person classes will resume on Monday.

Finally, we ask again, if you haven’t answered or filled out your U.S. Census information for this year, please do so this weekend.  Having an accurate count gives our community and our schools a better chance to be awarded money for when we apply for grants and other programs in the future.  It also helps us in our part of the state keep our representation numbers.

Please be careful and stay safe over the weekend.  Practice social distancing so that we can continue our work as we educate our students.

Until our next posting on Sunday night, have a pleasant few days.
