October Senior of the Month
A representative from SIU-C will be here at 8:30 on Wednesday to meet with seniors. Please sign the list on Mrs. Dill’s door to attend.
All students who are planning to participate in Scholar Bowl this year need to be at Thursday’s practice and bring $10 for a shirt.
Juniors have concessions this Friday; please stop by Mrs. Sullivan’s room for a time to work.
Make-up pictures and Re-takes will be taken on Thursday, October 23rd until approx. 11:00. Picture forms will be in the main office. If you did not have your picture taken on picture day in September, you need to go to the new cafeteria sometime between 8:30 and 11:00 to have your picture made for the yearbook. If you had your pictures taken, but want re-takes, you must bring ALL of your pictures back and give them to the photographer when you have your picture re-made. Organization pictures will be taken that day as well. Pictures of teachers in their classrooms will be taken in the afternoon. Please contact Mrs. Neibch with questions.
If you are a current CNA student or a Senior who had the CNA class last year, there will be a short meeting in Mrs. Harkins classroom the last 10 minutes of lunch on Tuesday.
1st Priority meets every Wednesday at lunch at Sloan’s gymnastics. All students freshman – seniors are welcome. Lunch will be provided.
Red Ribbon Week begins on Friday, October 24th. Freshman Homerooms will meet in front of the gym at 8:05 to watch “Consequences of Bad Choices”. Freshman will also get a pencil that says “Don’t Do Drugs” and wristbands will be for sale for .50 each. Monday, October 27: Pay a dollar at the door and get a stamp to wear a hat to support "Put a Cap on Drugs & Alcohol". Money goes to a family who lost their home in a fire.
Tuesday, October 28: Wear jeans for " Be a Jeanius - Don't Do Drugs". Wednesday, October 29: " I mustache you to not do drugs". Mustaches will be free to the first 200 students through the door. After that, students may purchase mustaches for .50 cents each. These can only be worn on Wednesday, Oct. 29!
Thursday, Oct. 30 - We will be handing out candy at the door for "Be Smart" - Don't Bully".

When? Tutoring can be scheduled for a time that works best for you and your tutor. Times include before/after school, lunch, and during the teacher’s prep period.
How? Ask any of the teachers listed to begin receiving tutoring in the subject(s) you are having difficulty with.
